By creating a student account and using LAS, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to follow these rules. If you are under 18, please also ask your parent or guardian to read these terms with you.
1. About LAS
LAS is a fun and safe learning tool that helps students like you build better study habits, improve your skills, and gain confidence in your schoolwork. It includes interactive lessons, practice exercises, and an AI tutor (Ezi AI) to support your learning journey.
2. Who Can Use LAS
- You must be at least 13 years old to have your own account.
- If you are between 13 and 17, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- You agree to use LAS only for learning purposes and to treat other users and the platform with respect.
3. Your Account & Privacy
- Your personal information (like your name, email, and progress) is kept safe and secure.
- We never share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- You have the right to see the data we hold about you and ask for corrections or deletion.
- We comply with child privacy laws (COPPA, GDPR-K, and POPIA). Your parent or guardian can also access your account reports.
4. Using the Platform
- You are responsible for keeping your login details private.
- Do not share your account with others or use LAS in a way that harms others.
- The AI tutor (Ezi AI) learns from your activity to give you personalised tips, which helps you improve.
5. Billing (for students)
LAS is usually provided through your school or paid for by your parent or guardian. You do not need to worry about payments. If you have questions about costs, please talk to your parent or school.
6. Intellectual Property
All content in LAS (lessons, exercises, videos, and software) belongs to LAS or its partners. You may use it for your own learning, but you cannot copy, share, or sell it without permission.
7. Rules for Good Behaviour
- Be kind and respectful in any communication.
- Do not cheat or misuse the tools.
- Report any problems or inappropriate content to your teacher or to LAS support.
8. LAS Financial Game: subscriptions, XP and refunds
The LAS Financial Game ("the Game") can be played by anyone. Payments are different: only an adult can pay. The first time a player buys something, the Game asks for their date of birth. If the player is under 18, a parent or guardian must complete the purchase: they enter their email address and confirm they are 18 or over, are the player's parent or guardian, and agree to the purchase. Receipts and renewal notices for a player under 18 are sent to that parent or guardian's email.
- XP and play time. Time in the Game is paid for with XP: 4 XP buys 1 minute of play. XP never expires. XP is used for nothing else, and it cannot skip a test, licence, grade or credit score.
- Free trial. New players get a one-time 240 XP trial (1 hour of play).
- Subscription. $5 per month or $50 per year, paid through Stripe. Each month of a subscription adds 2,000 XP (for the annual plan the 2,000 XP is added every month of the year). LAS Platinum members do not need a Game subscription and play with XP. Extra XP packs ($2, $5, $10 and $20) are available to subscribers and Platinum members.
- Renewal and cancelling. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Manage subscription in the Game's Store, or from the link in your receipt email. After you cancel you keep your XP and your saved game, and the subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for. You can subscribe again at any time and carry on where you left off.
- Refunds. Subscription payments and XP packs are refundable within 7 days of purchase if the XP from that payment has not been used. A parent or guardian can ask for a refund within 30 days for a purchase made on a player under 18's account that they did not agree to. Used XP and time already played are not refundable, and we do not refund part-used subscription periods after you cancel. To ask for a refund, email info@learninganythingstrat.com from the account or receipt email address. When a payment is refunded, or reversed by the card company, the XP that payment added is removed from the balance.
- Payments. All payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure page. The Game never sees or stores card details.
- Education only. The Game teaches how everyday money, work and life skills work, using made-up banks and businesses and pretend money. It is not financial, legal or tax advice.
- Deleting your account. You can delete your LAS account from the Game's Store. Any Game subscription is cancelled first, so you are not billed again.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we will notify you (and your parents, if applicable) in advance. Continued use of LAS means you accept the new terms.
Acknowledgment
By using LAS, you confirm that you understand and agree to these Student Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, you also confirm that your parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted these terms on your behalf.
